Reading up on patters

Now with the arm in an abduction sling, I have a lot more time reading through my pattern books, and there is one in particular that I like, Viking Patters by Elsebeth Lavold.

I never seem to tire of browsing this one. What is fascinating is how she's taken archeological finds and made into gorgeous patterns. Once I'm more mobile, and able to really get going on the knitting, I'm definitely giving a lot of these a try. The way she has it set up, it's easy to mix and match, and incorporate various patterns in your own design, or just use some of ready patterns.
If you like these kinds of patterns, this book is a must!
